As I pulled into the parking lot, I see this tall senior boy in between his mom and little sister. Right off the bat, I could tell that Luke was an incredible young man. Just by the way he spoke to his little sister showed me that mama raised him right! My heart melted when she called him and he immediately went to see the “something weird” that she found. His easy going personality made his session a breeze and he totally rocked it!

He talked to me about his plans after high school and this young man will be serving a mission in Guatemala for the next two years. What an amazing sacrifice for an 18 year old to make! The smile on his face as he told me where he was going told me that he was excited and willing to dedicate those two years to serving others. And to top it off, when he returns, he wants to attend Texas A&M for Biomedical Engineering! Mind. Blown.

I am so happy to have met Luke. I hope that when my boys are his age, they have strong goals and a joyful character just like him. Good luck in Guatemala and may God bless your life and those around you!
