SHEQUETTA & GERALD
SHE TOOK A DEEP BREATH AND THEY BOWED THEIR HEAD
The reverend lead Shequetta and Gerald in prayer before their ceremony. They shared a quiet moment to hold hands, pray, and feel each other’s presence. In the rush and chaos that can come with a wedding, this time allowed them to be the calm for each other. Be Still. Feel Peace. But then, the time had come for Shequetta and Gerald to take their place for the ceremony and become husband and wife.
“A CORD OF THREE STRANDS IS NOT EASILY BROKEN”
The guests sat under those oak trees with blankets wrapped around them as the sun set and the chilly wind blew. Gerald chatted with the reverend as he waited patiently to see his bride. Cue the music. His eyes swelled with tears when the procession started, and then, there she was. A vision in PINK. There were not many dry eyes as Shequetta made her way down the aisle to marry her Prince Charming. She looked stunning in her wedding dress and I am STILL swooning over it! “Want to know why I chose a pink dress?”, she asked me. “Gerald always tells me I look so pretty in pink. So I decided to surprise him!” Well, Shequetta, surprised is an understatement. He was floored! Seeing his reaction was priceless and made it hard for me to hold back tears!
