Santa Ana Refuge Engagement Session

Breanna & Elijah

I am OBSESSED with this photoshoot. For a few years, I have suggested this location to couples. I have seen photos online of the spanish moss hanging from the trees. I thought it looked beautiful, but never had any takers on this place. And I don’t blame them. I had never actually shot there before. It just looked to me like it would be beautiful.

Breanna originally wanted to go to the salt flats, which I one hundred percent approve of because it’s a gorgeous spot, but it had been raining a lot so we figured it would be way too muddy and flooded. There was also chance of rain on the day of their shoot, but really didn’t want to reschedule. So Breanna said they were up for anything and that they trusted me. I suggested the spanish moss and was so excited when she agreed! She trusted me and may I say, their images came out AMAZING!

The trees were everything and created this romantic fairytale quality. It was the perfect background to highlight Breanna and Elijah’s love story. The two met partially through a youth service at their church. They love to volunteer at their church, hang out with loved ones, and watch movies together. On their 2 year anniversary, Elijah planned a romantic dinner. They took a stroll after where Elijah got down on one knee and asked Breanna to be his wife.

Breanna and Elijah, you two are some of the sweetest people! I am so excited to capture your wedding and am honored to have had the opportunity to capture this beautiful time in your life as you head into marriage. I look forward to seeing you guys again very soon! Until then,

Big hugs and lots of love,
